Spicy Mango Wings
Ingredients
2 pounds chicken wings, tips removed but left whole
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
The Prep:
Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to ensure maximum crispiness.
In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
Shake and Coat:
Place a few chicken wings at a time into a large paper bag.
Add a handful of the seasoning mixture to the bag, then fold the top of the bag and shake vigorously to coat the wings evenly with the seasoning.
Repeat this process until all the wings are coated.
Heat the Oil:
In a deep skillet or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil to 375°F (190°C). In this case, I used the Masterbuilt Deep Fryer, which comes with an easy-to-remove/use Fry Basket
The Cook:
Carefully lower a few coated wings into the hot oil using tongs. Avoid overcrowding the fryer, which can lead to uneven cooking.
Fry the wings for about 10-12 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy.
Use a slotted spoon to transfer the fried wings to a wire rack or paper towels to drain excess oil.
Place the fried wings in a large mixing bowl. Pour the Mango Habanero sauce over the wings.
Use tongs to toss the wings in the sauce until they are thoroughly coated.
Arrange the sauced wings on a serving platter.
Serve your Shake-and-Bake Fried Wings with Mango Habanero Sauce alongside your favorite dipping sauces, celery sticks, and carrot sticks, or homemade fries.
