American Barbecue Showdown 1 Year Anniversary

Today September 18th, marks the 1 year anniversary of, The American Barbecue Showdown airing on Netflix. It is without a doubt one of the most life changing experience I have ever had. “You Should Have One” has been something that has echoed around me from all sources ever since the show aired. I ask you to take a moment to hear how I believe things went.

This show was filled with exceptional moments, memories and the people who helped put it all together. With the announcement of season 2, I cannot wait to be a viewer and watch others showcase their skills and passion for the craft of Barbeque.

The show for me, was not a competition. It was an opportunity for me to put all the reading, the studying, the small scale practice recipes to the test. It helped silence that forever lingering voice of doubt that was in my head.
